Skellig Monks Trail.

The Skelligs Monks trail is a very beautiful 2Km walk along the foreshore from Ballinskelligs Beach Car park to Ballinskelllgs pier and the old Coast Guard Station at Reen. The route is littered with history and heritage. You will walk in the footsteps of the Skelligs Monks and visit Ballinskelligs Abbey which was the land base of the Skellig Monks. You will learn about the history of the Skelligs rock, the trans Atlantic Cable St Michaels well, Ballinskelligs Castle, Pirates and shipwrecks, as well as much much more.
